About the Book

A raw, honest exploration of failure in medicine and the resilience it takes to keep going

What They Didn't Tell You About Medical School

β€œI got endless advice on how to pass exams and achieve success, but why did no one tell me about facing failure?”

In β€œA Doctor's Guide to Facing Failure,” Hadassah shares the story of Sade Adu, who walked into medical school already called β€œDoctor” long before she'd earned it. What followed was the raw, unfiltered reality of becoming a doctor in Nigeria, where night classes turn out to be illusions, and the dental mirror doesn't just reveal teeth but the word FAILURE staring back.

Yet this is not only a story of falling. It's about learning to rise, about scars that don't destroy but reshape. Honest, funny, and painfully relatable, this book is for every student, dreamer, and struggler who has ever asked: Am I enough?
